Routine Q&A

Routine is the up coming exploration/ horror game from indie English developers Lunar Software. Routine is a Steam "Green Lit" game and is frankly one of the better looking game that's part of the line up. With a strong sense of exploration  and discovery over straight Horror, the game brings a fresh new take on the genre I think.

Recently the Dev crew requested some questions for a Q&A video they were going to put together and I was lucky enough to have some of my questions addressed in the video.

Check it out - my Questions are at about the 3:44 mark

I'm really looking forward to this game as I am a sucker for exploration and sci-fi horror. Lunar Software is looking for an April release for Routine - I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Dead Space 3 Preview (Inside Gaming Extended)

A closer look at co-op and weapon building, as well as something even more interesting. How two players co-oping together actually see the story differently because of the "Dementia" mechanic.

Dead Space 3: Eudora Gameplay with Commentary

So here's over 15 minutes of Dead Space 3 gameplay withe projects Creative Director and Senior Audio Artist, taking us through the Eudora level.

There really isn't much else to say except "watch this awesome video!" Dead Space 3 keeps looking better and better every freaking day. Can't wait for it.

Edit: I've watched this video like a dozen times and absolutely love it. I was afraid at first after watching the first few videos that the evolution of the game was taking it away too much from the original formula, but it looks like Visceral have got it under control. Why did i even doubt them?

Deadlight: please come to me

I have a thing for side scrollers. Especially modern day side scrollers like Shank and Shadow Complex. I also really like horror side scrollers (shocker!) In fact, when I got my hands on the latest Splatterhouse game my favorite parts were the side scrolling sections (Even though a lot of people hated them)

The last great horror side scroller I played was a little gem called Lone Survivor, a mad survival horror game by indie developer Jasper Byrne.

Well just the other day Spanish game studio Tequila Works released their side scrolling Zombie game: Deadlight, which is alos billed as a survival horror game. What's interesting about Tequila work is that the studio is made up of former devs from Blizzard Entertainment, MercurySteam Entertainment, Pyro Studios, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Weta Digital. o_O

It's been a while since a zombie game got me excited and though Deadlight hasn't gotten universal acclaim, it looks and plays like some thing I really wanna have.

The game follows the journey of one Randell Wayne who is out to brave a zombie apocalypse to look for his missing daughter. so it's not the most original plot - but stuff that it's a zombie game!

Check out this awesome gameplay vid with one of the developers commentating - it showcases the game a lot better than its trailer, which is still worth a look at though if you dig this vid.

I really love the art style of it, like a more detailed Limbo.

Sadly the game is only out exclusively on Xbox Live at the moment, and though I have a 360  (my second one), the damn thing likes to be very temperamental. Meaning sometimes it turns on and other times it wants to be a douche and play "red ring."

So I don't wanna risk buying this on the xbox live in case my 360 dies completely.

Please bring this bad boy to Windows Live - if not PSN. PLEASE!!!

Dead Space 3 Interview: Game Mechanics

An interview with Dead Space 3 Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis on the games mechanics. Including how there won't be any competitive Multipayer - thank god!

After watching I'm actually a little more excited about Dead Space 3 - it kinda sounds like two game experiences in one.

This is it. The reason I wanted to buy myself a PS3.

In fact - the day I saw this game, that afternoon i had the opportunity to purchase a PS3 at a reasonable price. The Last of Us is the latest survival Horror title from Naughty Dog, exclusively for the PS3.

And man does it looks farkin awesome.

Dark Souls: My first fan video

So I made a fan video for Dark Souls last night.

Basically I just grabbed a whole bunch of clips for the game that I really liked and put them all in one place, re-editing them to some kick ass music.

Dark Souls is such a kick as looking game with an equally kick as gameplay premise that I wanted to show case it in a really cool way. not that there aren't any cool trailers already... cause there are.

Have a look at the vid and let me know what you think.

If all goes well I should be ordering my collectors edition of the game today, if it doesn't go well... then I'll order it tomorrow :P

Splatterhouse E3 trailer kicks ass

I haven't bought anything new for the 360 for a very long time. The last game I got on it was Super Street Fighter 4, bought for my by a friend of mine in from Australia.

Up until awhile ago all I was waiting for game wise was Dead Space 2 that's been set to release some time in January next year. I might pick up some other odd titles along the way, but Dead Space 2 would be my MUST HAVE tile.

...well that and the new SPLATTERHOUSE!

I've been going on about this game for a few posts now, and so far everything I've seen regarding this game has been mind blowing. Including the new E3 trailer that recently came out.

It looks totally awesome, and shows us a little of the main characters with a bit of story too. Including poor old Jennifer being taken from little old Rick, before he puts on the terror mask!

Check it out for ya self... I swear of there is one game I pick up for my 360 for the remaining of the year, it'll be this one.

I think I'll just stash some of my next pay somewhere for this, in case by some odd reason I don;t have money when it comes out :P

Dead Space 2: First Gameplay video

Of all the games in all the world right now, nothing else has me by my throat like the impending Dead Space 2. This is the game I would cut of a limb for...

And this morning I woke up to an awesome delight; Dead Space 2 footage that was revealed at E3!

When I saw the vid it gave me chills.

Check out Isaac's new hover move, and the awesome blood splatter effects when you put baddies into stasis.

Will try my darndest to pick up a special edition for this one.

A little zombie in your country music

Hey Negrita: Zombie 1 of 3 Prev

Gosh darn it I do so love this clip

Dead space 2: Sneak Peak

Check out what Issac's new rig can do in this sneak peak at Dead Space 2

Though I'm still warming up to the idea of Dead Space 2 moving more towards an action game and less of the survival horror of the first game, the above clip has me some what intrigued.

I'd like to say that I need to see more of the game before I make up mind whether I'm going to buy it or not, but I'll just be kidding my self. Evil lurking gods know that I'm going to pre-order this son of a bitch as soon as I can.
